Hello ... I'm Jessica Colaluca, and welcome to the newest chapter in my color loving life :)

Previous chapters include:

1. graduating from the College for Creative Studies with a BFA in Industrial Design 
2. working as a designer at Ford, Reebok, and Timberland
3. going rogue and starting a design consultancy in 2009
4. launching Design Seeds, a color and inspiration site, in May of 2009
5. said color & inspiration goes viral, receiving 1-2 million pageviews per month for the next decade, while I gain over 1.5 million followers across social
6. blogging, social media'ing, & working with some cool clients
7. with the wild and changing interwebs, Design Seeds operating costs (and the overall effects of the pandemic) necessitated moving to the current platform and archiving the inspiration 
8. I continued advising on color and forecasting, working with more cool clients, volunteering at our local Historical Society, and producing events for the LGBTQ+ community

Chapter now: Design Seeds returns! With a new business model, I've been able to resume creating inspiration, and am over the moon to return to my literal roots.

In the nearly 3 years of "pressing pause" on Design Seeds ... it was the loyal #SeedsColor community and compelling interest for new Seeds content that inspired my return in April of 2024. Thanks to reader support, social media interest, and the fate of finding a single email that changed everything (from an invaluable affiliate partner) ... I am so very grateful to have returned and host the site where it all began (seriously, free Blogger hosting is everything).
